Recently, the Vallbo Foundation has started collaborations on several projects aimed to the rehabilitation of historical heritage in Catalan territory. With these actions the foundation intends to support, maintain and protect the historical, cultural and social heritage of the environment.
In this way, the Foundation’s board has begun the first steps to develop a project with the Sant Martí de Tous City Council that contemplates the rehabilitation and conservation of the architectural complex that includes the Hermitage and the Castle of Santa María de la Roqueta.
Santa María de la Roqueta is a Romanesque church in whose surroundings there are also remains of a castle. Both buildings are located in the town of San Martí de Tous, belonging to the Catalan region of Anoia, in the province of Barcelona. Due to its location and functions, this area has great historical interest, for this reason, the Vallbo Foundation will support conservation and rehabilitation works, in order to protect and promote the historical-cultural heritage it represents.
Additionally, the Vallbo Foundation will also collaborate with the restoration and study of cave paintings located in strategic places in the province of Tarragona, such as those located in the Siurana river caves.
